My daughter and I have recently returned from a fantastic week in Morocco, As Morocco is so diverse we wanted to explore and experience it as much as possible in the time we had.
Our trip involved a couple of nights in Marrakesh were we spent time in the Medina which included wandering around the bustling souk and then into the calming secret garden which is located in the centre of the Medina. Marrakesh is full of narrow alleyways , with restaurants and shops hidden away.
Our next stop was the Atlas mountains , we had hoped to do the two day hike up Mount Toubkal but unfortunately the weather conditions had taken a turn for the worse and the pass was closed , however we managed to do an alternative hike through the Berber Villages where we were able to experience staying in a local Berber lodge and sampling the local hospitality.
After a busy few days we headed to Agadir with its wide sandy beaches and beautiful marina to relax and enjoy the winter sunshine.
Morocco has so much to offer from relaxing by the beach to adventures in the mountains , it is a country full of culture and easily accessible from the UK throughout the year.
