Lucy visit's Lemnos
We arrived in Lemnos just after midday, the transfer took about 25 minutes to get to the resort, the organisation from the Neilson staff was just fantastic form meeting us at the airport to us getting checked in to our room took less than an hour.
The hotel was lovely the garden rooms led down to the pool & beech area and a unique feature of the hotel is the archaeological remains of the pre-Hellenistic temple of Artemis & the hotel has stunning views towards Halkidiki's Mount Athos!
The activities they have on offer were; Windsurfing, Wakeboarding, Dinghy Sailing etc. but if you’re not interested in doing all that there are more simple activities like the kayak safari & snorkelling. There were also things on offer like organised bike rides from a lower more relaxing level up to hard going mountain biking but if you didn’t want to do this you could just take a bike out and do your own thing, the area around the resort is very hilly though but there are some lovely routes you can take and the staff are really helpful so just need to ask.
Also there were daily tennis classes from beginner level to intermediate and advanced level, I didn’t do this but my partner did & he quite enjoyed it. He went off at 11 am each day which was perfect for me because that’s when my water aerobics classes started.
Overall the quality of the food was good. The drinks at the hotel were quite expensive, we got a Fanta and a large beer and it cost £9.30!
It was slightly strange as I was on holiday with 200 British people and even the staff were all English. The pool area was fantastic the beach was a bit shingly but had enough sun loungers to go around.
We had a lovely time here & I will definitely recommend to any of my customers who really want an active break!
